Description
Bowl over family and friends with this fun, 6-pin wooden skittles game which requires dexterity and co-ordination to make a strike. The earliest recorded example of skittles dates to c.5200 BC, with equipment discovered by Sir Flinders Petrie (1853-1942) in an Ancient Egyptian child’s tomb. Played across the world with five to ten ‘pins’ in hundreds of variations. A popular pub game in England, a statute of King Henry VII from 1495 banned indoor games as a distraction from archery practice. The pins and tactile wooden ball are designed to be light enough to suit a range of players and convenient for taking out and about. Made from turned pine wood, the colourful skittles are bound to bring out the competitive spirit when played in the garden, on picnics or even at the beach.
