Description
‘Whoso pulleth out this sword of this stone and anvil, is rightwise king born of all England’, ‘Le Morte d’Arthur’, by Thomas Malory (c.1393-c.1470)
A jigsaw puzzle mixing magic, myth and fable to bring to life the realm and legend of Arthur Pendragon. From the knights of the Round Table and the sword in the stone; to Merlin, Tristan, Isolde, and Sir Palomides slaying the Questing Beast: piece together this enchanting puzzle and then spot 51 Arthurian references using the annotated image guide. Their origin lost in the mists of distant history, the stories and legends attending the fabled King Arthur were most famously told by Thomas Malory (c.1393-c.1470) in ‘Le Morte d’Arthur’, created c.1485. Discover the legends with a beguiling and intricate jigsaw design by contemporary London-based illustrator Adam Simpson. Developed in partnership with Falmouth Art Gallery.
