A green-fingered jigsaw puzzle in homage to the humble allotment, the treasured smallholdings drawing on Anglo-Saxon roots in strips of cultivated common land; the ‘field gardens’ of the 1845 Enclosure Act; through to formal provision in British law from 1908. Full of charming gardening details, puzzlers will enjoy spotting sheds, sunflowers, raised beds, wildlife, hens and even a snail in the intricate scene. Reproducing an illustration by contemporary British artist Anne Mortimer (b.1958) presented in a space-saving box and plastic-free packaging.
