Set of 4 Mini Marble Games

A set of four classic marble games, handsomely presented with dark-stain FSC wood veneer-playing boards and glass marbles in a handy drawstring storage bag. Mixing games for one and two players, challenge yourself, friends and family to a game. First recorded in France in 1697, the game became popular in Britain with many variants played. Including two versions, play a solo game of Triangle Solitaire, a variation of the traditional circular version; and Knights, where a player uses the Knight’s move from chess to move marbles from one side of the board to the other. Or play against an opponent with a marble version of Noughts and Crosses, which developed from a game recorded in Ancient Egypt, and Nine Man’s Morris, the strategic game which dates to the Roman Empire and is mentioned by Shakespeare in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. With protective felt ‘feet’ on the base of the boards to protect furniture from scratches, the boxes include the simple instructions for game-play that will be challenge all ages.
