Pub Quiz Snap

An entertaining deck of cards for an evening of pub quiz trivia and four fun card games. Drawing on the archive of The Inn Sign Society, each card is illustrated with an image of a hand-painted pub sign from around the UK, from Avebury to Wellingborough. Featuring 13 of the most common UK pub names, the cards are divided into four ‘suits’ with variations of the names. Each card is printed with a pub and beer-themed multiple choice quiz question (and the answer). The set also includes a booklet with notes on the history of pub signs and instructions to play four games using the cards: Snap, Quartets, Game of Swap and The Memory Game. Thought to have originated in Roman times, pub signs became a requirement where beer was served, set into English law in 1393. With a compact storage box, the cards are a pocket-friendly game to play in convivial surroundings and are sure to delight any lovers of British pub culture and history.
