A fun and fact-packed kit to create your own mighty ice age Woolly Mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius) in miniature. Mammoths existed over 700,000 years ago but whose species-ancestors existed much earlier; one mammoth ancestor specimen has the oldest known DNA yet tested at 1.2 million years old. Cleverly made from press-out plywood parts, follow the step-by-step instructions and build up the legs and bulk of the creature. Add a dab of glue at key points in the construction and display. A fun project for old fossils as well as young naturalists.
