Echoing the bright colours of tropical paintings by Marianne North (1830-90), the contemporary collage design includes illustrations of a toucan, red-headed lovebird and a chameleon taken from John Frederick Miller’s (active 1772-96) ‘Cimelia Physica’, published 1796. With a pre-printed canvas, and fixed pine wood-battens to weight and display your painting on the wall, simply follow the numbered colour chart to complete the sections of painted colour. With three fine-tip brushes and 24 water-based, acrylic paint-shades you will see birds appear amongst cyad fronds and passionflowers. An absorbing twist on painting, create and display your own masterpiece.
