A jigsaw puzzle which celebrates the diversity of the flora and fauna of the British Isles and the varied habitats which the creatures call home. Reproducing an intricate illustration by contemporary, Yorkshire-based artist Janice Daughters; in the tradition of British zoological illustrators such as Sarah Bowditch (1791-1856), who studied British fish species, and engraver Thomas Bewick (1753-1828), whose landmark ‘A History of British Birds’ from 1797-1804 is thought to be the earliest field guide. The puzzle is divided into four panels, each celebrating a different habitat. From industrious insects and flower-filled meadows; to vibrant sea life and coastal riches.
