Bumble Jumble Puzzle

A tactile bamboo puzzle to keep your brain buzzing: empty the hexagonal frame and then find how to fit a jumble of bee-themed pieces back inside. Fun and colourful, the 23 shaped pieces mix honeycomb-shapes, bees, flowers and a bee skep and will ‘bee’ harder than it looks. The mathematical beauty of bees’ honeycomb has fascinated mathematicians: Pappus of Alexandria posited the Honeycomb Conjecture in his 4th century essay ‘On the Sagacity of Bees’, arguing that the hexagon was the most efficient use of wax in building the honeycomb structure. The Conjecture was finally proven in 1999. A head-scratching puzzle to keep fingers and grey cells busy: busy bees will enjoy relaxing with this as a tactile, handheld challenge.
