Costume jewellery based on a Suffragette brooch from 1905. The colours of the Women’s Suffragette Movement carried a special meaning: purple symbolised dignity, white purity, and green hope. These colours became synonymous with the fight for women’s right to vote and are set in dazzling crystals in this brooch. Women gained the right to vote in 1918, but purple, white and green ribbons are still used as a symbol for women's equality today. Wear this brooch on your blouse or blazer to remember the sacrifices our mothers and grandmothers made in the fight for freedom.
