Handsome outdoor ornament based on the 18th century carved French limestone original. In the Victorian era, lions were upheld as a symbol of strength, power and a way to guard against evil spirits, therefore they would be placed at the entranceway to protect the home. This piece has an antique style with moulded and painted in grey to imitate limestone. This majestic lion is designed with a proud, dignified expression and a flowing mane.
