4 Butterfly & Peony Birthday Cards

Exquisite pop-up cards to send birthday wishes with an elegant, layered design of Japanese peonies, butterflies, magnolia and blossom. Making a beautiful, everlasting display, peonies symbolise honour and nobility in Japanese art, and have been a popular subject for great woodblock masters; including Katsushika Hokusai’s (1760-1849) ‘Peony and Butterfly’, c.1833-34; and Ohara Koson’s (1877-1945) print of the same title from c.1925-36. Created from five laser-cut layers, press the sides of the card together and the floral design pops up from flat. Supplied flat for posting. The front of the card is printed ‘Happy Birthday’ and includes a space on the back for your message.
