Description
Pretty wrapping paper reproducing printed montages of Victorian-paper 'scraps' and ephemera, taken from an early 20th century calendar which showcased the 1890s scraps. The art of découpage and scrapbooking was a popular Victorian pastime, and by the 1890s, developments in chromolithographic printing made intricate, embossed paper sheets of die-cut ‘scraps’ both decorative and affordable. The two gift wrap designs mix a host of ephemera imagery, including a pink colour-design with roses, doves, children, violets and forget-me-nots; and a purple-and-yellow colour-design with pansies, violets, daffodils, children, cats and primroses repeated within the intricate design. Supplied in convenient, space-saving folded sheets, the charming gift wrap will add elegance to gifts for all your loved ones.
