Description
Greetings cards to charm a bibliophile: an appealing mix of designs by great 20th century illustrators which celebrate the pleasures of a good book. Includes a detail from a poster for Children’s Book Week, 1920, by Jessie Willcox Smith (1863-1935); and Beatrix Potter’s (1866-1943) 'The Tailor of Gloucester', 1902, lost in the pages of a newspaper. Plus an illustration by Kate Seredy (1899-1975) from 'I Like Books!', a poster advertising 1962 Book Week; and a detail from 'Take Along a Book', 1910, a poster by Magnus Norstad (1888-1961), from the Library of Congress, USA. Cheery designs to delight all ages and send your greetings throughout the year.
