14 Venetian Marbling Thank You Cards

Elegant cards to send as ‘Thank You’s, decorated with a Venetian-inspired marbled paper design and shimmering gold foil highlights. The richly-coloured design recalls ‘pavone’, meaning ‘peacock’, paper patterns created in Venetian ‘legatorie’ in the mid 18th century. A centre of bookbinding and paper production, Venetian paper makers adopted marbling – called ‘carta marmorizzata’ – as a decorative finish for end papers, possibly adapted from a Turkish paper marbling technique called ‘ebru’. Each card is printed with ‘Thank You’ on the asymmetric edge of the card, with space inside for your own message.
