Elegant notecards reproducing a detail of autumn grasses and chrysanthemums from a gilt and lacquer reading stand created in Japan in the early 17th century; the original is now in the collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art, USA. The intricate detailing of the petals and stamens, highlighted with delicate gold foil accents, brings a touch of opulence to the glowing black and gold composition. Convenience meets elegance with self-sealing envelopes that are coordinated in a pale yellow colour.
