‘And I think it was the outline of that church tower at Belaugh against the sky which gave me a passion for churches so that every church I've passed since I've wanted to stop and look in’, Sir John Betjeman (1906-84)
Clever die-cut cards celebrating the quintessentially British ‘passion for churches’, recalled so memorably by John Betjeman. Inspired by Stanley Roy Badmin's art, specifically 'Autumn Wedding at Findon, West Sussex,' it showcases the 11th-century St. John the Baptist Church in Findon. Badmin's portrayal, set against an autumn backdrop, beautifully captures the 1860s restored exterior. The 3-D cut-out detail inside, along with a blank message space, creates an atmospheric display for sending greetings.
