Description
A delightful Easter card design, highlighted with gold foil, reproducing a watercolour painting of an Easter Cross flanked by prettily-painted spring flowers. The arrangement of primroses, crocuses and forget-me-nots echoes the style of early 20th century postcards. The original painting by Patricia Wing (fl. 1990s-2000s) is drawn from the archive of imagery she produced for The Medici Society. The Society was founded in 1908 and sought to bring contemporary artists’ work to a wider audience; commissioning many artworks for prints and greetings cards.
