I bought this as a gift for a friend and was very disappointed with It.In fact I'm just in the process of sending it back.I thought it was very tacky looking, the lid was loose and there were no instructions with it telling me how to get at the battery to replace it. I certainly wouldn't want to receive it 1

Although the lantern packaging itself was poor and everything on the invoice was in French, the lantern itself it lovely, well made and shines beautifully in the dark
