Boxing Hares Sculpture

Enchanting boxing hares recalling motifs favoured by Arts and Crafts designer William De Morgan (1839-1917), a lifelong friend of William Morris, known for his distinctive style, which this piece captures beautifully. He specialised in creating intricate and vibrant ceramic tiles, pottery and other decorative items. De Morgan's work often featured fantastical and Islamic-inspired designs, and he played a significant role in the revival of traditional craftsmanship during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Each hare sculpture is hand-crafted in aluminium, a material known for its durability and lightweight properties, making it perfect for outdoor display.
