This looked something out of the ordinary in the catalogue, however the material is quite shiny and plastic looking in my opinion - I expected it to be more cotton-like - it was also very crumpled around the edges which hasn't lessened after 3 days and the 'wood finish' pole and top look cheap and spoil the look. Mine came with the tiniest stain on the parasol but I'm not willing to go to the trouble and expense of returning. Wouldn't be tempted to purchase something like this from a catalogue in future.
