Description
Striking and distinctive, this vibrant jacket vividly recalls motifs from the spirited Belle Époque. An era of elegance, the fin de siècle produced some of the finest and most illustrious designs seen across fashion and the decorative art. This Elegant brocade jacket reflecting the popularity of the regal peacock motif with Art Nouveau designers such as Arthur Silver (1852-1896) who created the enduring 'Peacock Feathers' in 1887. Lavish gold, green and blue hues have been used to create our Peacock Brocade Jacket.

Undoubtedly a stunning jacket and will go very well with my black velvet dress for dinner events. I like the way the light reflects off it. It is of good quality and well made. As for sizing, I agree with other reviews that you need to size down. Usually I take a size 16 but the 14 fits well and it buttons up OK. I hope to wear it often once this wretched Covid-19 pandemic is contained.

The jacket is beautiful, but the wrong colour for me. I only ordered it because the colour in illustration was perfect for my outfit. Company needs to give options when there are different colours on offer. I see there is now a pink version, that too is not for me. I was very disappointed.

This caught my eye as I was wondering what to wear for my husband's 70th birthday lunch, and I am very pleased with it. Well-made, with pretty Chinese-style looped buttons down the front, and a beautiful peacock fabric. I'm an apple shape so it's good to have a longer jacket, which I'm going to wear with velvet leggings.

Lovely quality and fantastic pattern. Just right for a Peacock themed wedding. As stated though the size does come up large so be careful when ordering. Shame it does not come in definate sizes instead of size ranges.

Sizes totally out. Sizes L and M were both huge 18 at least.
Unable to trust sizing at all.

This jacket was vast!!! I am an 8 and I have never bought any clothes from Museum Selection before because they almost never do an 8. The fabric was gorgeous, the style was good and it would have fitted a size 12. Sleeves 10 cm too long, very wide on the shoulders and enough room inside for a very pregnant woman.
