Hiroshige Cat Pen Set

A handsome set of eight ballpoint pens, each barrel cleverly created from rolled papers which reproduce a woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858). Depicting a cat, gazing out of a window at a procession crossing ricefields and with Mount Huji in the distance, the print ‘Asakusa Ricefields and Torinomachi Festival’, 1857, was part of the artist’s ‘One Hundred Famous Views of Edo’. The tactile pens and co-ordinating pen lids give an unusually soft and lightweight feeling when penning notes and letters. Presented in a smart, slimline box with a magnetic side flap, the pens are perfect for lovers of cats and Japanese art.
