Redouté Spring Flowers Coasters

Pretty coasters bringing together the studies of spring flowers by French artist and botanist Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1759 – 1840). Known for his botanical watercolours, many of which were published as large, coloured stipple engravings. Redouté was a Belgium botanist and painter, inspired by the Dutch flower painting tradition and nicknamed 'the Raphael of flowers'. He produced delicate watercolour illustrations at Malmaison as a court artist to Marie Antoinette, whilst other notable patrons included Empress Joséphine and Marie Louise, Duchess of Parma. These coasters come in sets of four in heat-resistant melamine with cork backing.

Clean with a damp sponge and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning products. Do not immerse in water or put in a dishwasher. Resistant to normal household stains and can withstand temperatures up to 145 ° C
