Smart set of four tablemats reproducing exquisite bird studies by celebrated Japanese artists Matsumura Keibun, Kono Bairei and Imao Keinen, whose works are now housed in the Rijksmuseum. These delicate designs showcase the artists' mastery of kacho-e (bird-and-flower painting), a genre revered in Japanese art for its harmonious celebration of nature. Made in Scotland, the mats feature heat-resistant melamine surfaces and durable eucalyptus and cork backing.
