Botanic Garden Oval Platter

Floral porcelain serving platter, decorated with a beautiful foxglove study from the Portmeirion archive. Originally created by Susan Williams-Ellis (1918–2007) 50 years ago, the Botanic Garden collection continues to be celebrated for its timeless botanical designs. The inspiration for these patterns comes from the hand-coloured herbal The Universal, or Botanical, Medical and Agricultural Dictionary (1820) by Thomas Green, which catalogued plants for their medicinal and agricultural properties. This floral porcelain platter is perfect for serving in style while evoking a long tradition of botanical illustration and design.
