Description
Vivacious and chic costume brooch recalling the fashions adopted by the flappers of the 1920s. Crafted in black and white capturing the modern outlook of the era, featuring a flapper woman with bobbed hair, a style often accompanied by the cloche hat. The cloche hat, originally designed by Caroline Reboux (1837-1927) in 1908, remained fashionable from 1922 to 1933. The brooch arrived in a flimsy cellophane bag which had a split down the side. The description in the catalogue said that the brooch was gift boxed so I am disappointed with the result and how much it actually cost. Museum Selection apologized and offered to send out a box which never turned up. I feel let down and this is not the usual standard of service that I have received in the past. Will reconsider before making another purchase.
