Fine glass hanging egg decoration beautifully blending artistry and tradition. The bright floral printed design is reminiscent of late-Victorian embroidery motifs and pays homage to the long-standing tradition of hanging egg decorations, a custom that originated in Germany. German glass-making regions, initially established for Christmas decorations, began creating baubles for other seasonal celebrations, including Easter, during the 19th century. A pretty egg, larger than I'd realised, so won't fit in an egg box with creme eggs at Easter as I'd intended, as a gift! But will still be gifted, in a box of its own (not provided).
