Description
Echoing the Murano glass of Renaissance Venice, this lively vase is fused with a festival of colour. The design of this striking glass bud vase reflects the technique of chalcedony or 'Calcedonio' glass-making, originally developed in the Roman province of Egypt and revived by Venetian glassblowers from the 15th century. Traditionally, master craftsmen of the Renaissance used shards of different-coloured glass fused together – and the technique sought to emulate gemstones. Colour and patterns may vary slightly, making your Calcedonio Multicoloured Vase truly unique.
