‘The poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese’, G.K. Chesterton (1874-1936)
Tempt a turophile with this jolly jigsaw celebrating a vintage selection of European cheese labels and iconic American cheese board brands. The fun printed collage mixes classic cheese labels, from c.1940s Ibex Swiss Gruyére to early 20th century Le Pierrot à la Rose Camembert from Normandy; with American brands such as Philadelphia Cream Cheese in its early block-form, invented in New York State in 1872; Sunshine Cheez-its, the Ohio ‘baked rarebit’ first produced 1921; and Ritz Crackers, created in 1934. The colourful design even includes a mouse hiding in Swiss cheese in a design you’ll savour piecing together.
