Description
Striking hand-carved solid teak table inspired by the popularity of exotic fruit and foliage motifs in fashionable interiors of the 19th century. A symbol of wealth and hospitality, the pineapple was first grown at Kew in the 18th century. During this time country houses also began to build their own pineries. This table has an unstained finish so you can appreciate the natural grains and rings in the wood.

This is a nice table IF it arrives in one piece! On two occasions I have ordered furniture from Museum Selection and both times the first item has arrived broken, due, I think, to bad packing. The Customer Service people are very good but when you're spending that amount of money I feel you should be able to expect your item to arrive in perfect condition. The table itself is nicely carved and my niece loves it as it's for her room. However, even with the second unbroken table, one screw was loose and one had fallen out in the box. Please, Museum Selection, either look at the packaging of your furniture items, or the carriers you, use to save disappointment for your customers.
