Attractive runner echoing the geometric shapes found in 'Sunbathers', 1932, a lino cut print by English printmaker and graphic designer Leonard Beaumont (1891–1986), currently held in the Victoria and Albert Museum. Leonard Beaumont was one of the first exponents of linocut printmaking in Britain during the 1930s. I returned the runner because the colours were not the same as the picture - the reds and oranges were as shown but what was meant to be cream was in fact much more greyish. I have no idea if that’s a common issue with this rug but it didn’t suit my colour scheme. Shame, because the quality of the runner was very good. Museum Selection were very prompt in dealing with this and refunding me - highest praise for them.

Runner came well packed and tightly rolled. It took a long time to lay flat, even laid upside down. The corners are still a bit of a trip hazard, but I guess will flatten further in time. The colours are perfect to match my room, and it makes a nice feature as well as being useful to warm feet in winter on our wooden floor.
