Description
Cotton corduroy jacket printed with yellow and green tulips on a soft purple background, recalling ‘Tulip Pochoir from Relais’, 1930, a jolly print by Edouard Bénédictus (1879-1930). After the rise and fall of 'tulipmania', this colourful flower rose to prominence again in the 19th century, when they were used in parterre bedding schemes to produce spectacular spring displays.
