Trellis Wool Cardigan

Richly coloured Merino wool cardigan decorated with traditional Aran trellis and honeycomb stitches. This cardigan recalls the styles of the 1950s when Aran knitting patterns were marketed by Patons. Originated off the west coast of Ireland, Aran jumpers were initially made to suit the needs of the island's community of fishermen and farmers. Sometimes taking up to 60 days to complete, these jumpers were known for their warmth and water-resistant qualities. Made in Ireland and finished with two side pockets.
