Rose Cotton Dress

Rose-print cotton dress reinterprets a 19th century chintz pattern, epitomising the Victorian fascination with Indian designs adapted for European tastes. The export of Indian textiles to Europe greatly influenced Western design, with floral chintzes becoming particularly popular for clothing and furnishings. This relaxed-fit dress features a soft rose print in pinks on an ecru ground, complemented by thoughtful details such as a Peter Pan collar, mother-of-pearl buttons fastening through the length and box pleats in the skirt. The ¾-length sleeves are finished with pintucking detail, mirrored on the collar, practical side pockets and an adjustable, detachable waist tie.
