Klein Roses Cotton Dress

Pretty cotton dress printed in soft green and aqua tones, echoing the rose studies by Catherine Klein. Born in 1861, Klein was a renowned German painter known for her naturalistic flower and fruit still life's that were extremely popular in the late 19th and early 20th century. Her works became famous worldwide as multi-colour lithographic prints in books, on postcards, and also in botanical publications. Among her artistic output of more than two thousand paintings, she devoted most of her work to wild and garden flowers with a vast number of roses. Styled in a relaxed fit, with a pan collar, ¾ -length sleeves and button front fastening to waist. The waisted skirt has patch pockets and adjustable ties that are detachable at seam, adding interest to this midi-length, unlined dress.
