Description

Bold cover-up evoking a 1930s silk kimono, the loose style of these imported garments becoming fashionable from the 1920s and recalling the influence of East Asian decorative motifs on designers of the period. The 1930s was a time when Western fashion began to incorporate elements from other cultures and the kimono was one such influence. The kimono’s flowing lines and intricate designs were admired and emulated by Western designers. Crafted from viscose georgette in bright blue, with leaves and contrasting geometric border print at the hem and sides. In a relaxed fit, edge-to-edge style with kimono sleeves.
