Kilburn Sea Anemone Tote Bag

A vibrant and capacious tote bag in sturdy cotton canvas, printed on the front and back with a detail from a textile design c.1788-92 by Irish designer William Kilburn (1745-1818). Best known for his textile designs, Kilburn was also one of the artists who contributed botanical illustrations for William Curtis’s ‘Flora Londinensis’, published 1770. This imaginative textile design is inspired by the colours and forms of seaweed, sea anemones and coral. Made in practical cotton, the bag includes a side gusset and an interior zip pocket to securely hold keys or other small valuables. Designed to hold up to 7kg, 3cm wide handles make the bag comfortable to carry on your shoulder or in your hand. With plain side panels and handles, the design is printed onto a beige-cream ground.
