A telescopic umbrella and handy, rigid-shell glasses case: smart accessories to take with you when out and about. Produced in association with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, both accessories reproduce a detail of 'Almond Blossom', 1890, by Vincent Van Gogh (1853-90). Originally painted as a gift for his beloved brother Theo upon the birth of his son, the work reflects Van Gogh's interest in nature and Japanese art. Part of a series created by Van Gogh in Arles and Saint-Rémy, the artist painted the blossoming almond trees of southern France en plein air. Representing awakening and hope, the painter had an affinity with these trees and found joy in painting them.
